Abstract

This study will investigate numerical cognition development in 2- to 4-year-old Mandarin-speaking children using a battery of number tasks studied previously. Data analysis will determine whether age and number-knower level predict performance. We anticipate that Mandarin-speaking children will perform similarly to English-speaking children except for later acquisition of number one.
