Poster: Multiple Identities and Cognitive Flexibility: An Experimental and Explanatory Study in a Non-Western Context

Awareness of multiple facets of social identity can promote cognitive flexibility. We tested this effect in a non-Western context using experimental and explanatory methods. Although the manipulation had no significant impact, higher social identity complexity and identification with distinct groups were linked to increased cognitive flexibility, indicating a nuanced relationship.
