Problematic States in Opioid Users (PSOU)

We developed a screener for co-occurring mental health issues in addiction at a methadone clinic (N=31, 74% Hispanic). The screener showed strong correlations with existing validated scales (r=.42 to .73, p<.001), supporting its psychometric validity for assessing psychological issues related to substance abuse. Using the PSOU, clinicians can guide treatment.
