Analyzing the Effects of Experiencing Adverse Childhood Experiences on Sympathetic Responses in Stress Physiology

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can have lasting effects on the stress response system. However, sympathetic functioning, involved in mobilizing active coping responses, is rarely examined. In a young adult sample, we will test whether the severity of ACEs is associated with lower sympathetic effort mobilization during stress.
