Do Matched Moods Matter? the Effect of Typeface x Passage Congruence on Digital Readability

Abstract

We will study the effect of typeface/reading passage congruence (the degree to which the personality of the typeface matches the mood of the passage) on reading speed, comprehension, cognitive performance, and engagement.  Participants will read either congruent or incongruent paragraphs, answer comprehension questions, and perform a cognitive task.
