Happiness Maximization Is a Weird Way of Living

We asked the fundamental question: What is the ideal level of happiness? Based on the data from two large-scale studies covering in total 61 countries, we propose a conclusion that the idealization of maximum levels of happiness may be especially characteristic of WEIRD cultures but less so for others.
