Abstract

We compared responses to the YPST in individuals with/without alcoholism (AUD, SD) and chronic pain (CP, NP). AUD-CPs had blunted craving responses during stress compared to AUD-NPs. SD-CPs had heightened craving under stress relative to SD-NPs. Results imply craving and anxiety are altered in AUD based on presence of CP.
