Food Memories and Moral Cultural Worldviews: Bridging Indic Psychology to Global Psychology

Using an Indic Psychology approach, this qualitative study examines Hindu moral worldviews (dharma) and beliefs in karma through food memories of 20 elderly participants from the Maharashtrian Brahmin community of Vadodara, India. Urbanization, changes in foodways over seven decades and their influence on cultural mentalities and global foodways are illustrated.
