Have You Noticed That? the Effect of Noticing in Bilingual Language Processing of Evidentiality

We examined the noticing effect on bilingual language processing. Testing Turkish-English bilinguals on the structure of evidentiality by a translation task, we found that participants who received the questions to increase their awareness on evidentiality translated more accurately and noticed the distinction between the two languages.
