Abstract
This study examined cultural variations in self-enhancement across Sub-Saharan Africa, North America, and East Asia. Results from 821 participants revealed that self-enhancement is stronger in Ghana, Kenya, and the US than in Japan. The findings highlight the role of self-promotive interdependence in Sub-Saharan Africa's cultural context.
