Abstract

This study examines the neural correlates of affective empathy in relation to attachment avoidance. Using fMRI, we predict reduced activity in the dACC and AI during a social feedback task among individuals with higher attachment avoidance. Findings may clarify why higher avoidance is linked to interpersonal difficulties in close relationships.
