Abstract

This study explored the impact of cognitive load and arousal on visual working memory. Top-down processes were found to be more influential than bottom-up processes as neutral stimuli with were remembered better than high-arousal stimuli, demonstrating the influence of cognitive load and arousal on visual working memory for object location.
