How Political Ideologies Relate to Basic Human Values and Translate into Issue Positions

We correlated political ideologies with basic human values and issue positions. Our study among 1006 Dutch residents during the 2023 Dutch general election showed that political ideologies are associated in the anticipated direction with human values and issue positions, but political ideologies only explained a small part of the variations.
