Self Stigma and Mental Health Literacy: Factors That Delay Care-Seeking in Women

This exploratory research aims to investigate the unique factors that impede women from seeking mental health care to inform more effective and culturally sensitive encouragement of mental healthcare. It will look specifically at mental health literacy, self stigma, perceived need for care, and disorder severity as factors of treatment delay.
