Disentangling the Association between Climate-Related Emotions and Mental Health Outcomes

Through two studies with undergraduate students (1: cross-sectional, 1,136 participants; 2: 3 time points, 396 participants), we examined associations between climate-related emotions (eco-anxiety, climate worry, eco-grief) and mental health (PHQ-9, GAD-7, WHO-5). While correlational results support significant associations, RI-CLPM analyses found little evidence of associations after accounting for trait-like levels.
