Abstract
Framed within the minority stress model, we examined cultural dimensions, gender roles, and multidimensional acculturation in 101 intra-ethnic (Mexican-American, MA) and interethnic (MA and Anglo-American) mixed-sex newlywed couples. Significant differences between intra-ethnic and interethnic couples and by gender highlighted the importance of considering intersectionality and of conceptualizing acculturation multidimensionally.
