Exploration of Emotion Conceptualization & Regulation in Coptic Americans

This dissertation project will explore how Coptic Americans conceptualize and experience the construct of emotion, as well as elucidate common approaches to emotion regulation. Additionally, this project will pursue the creation of a measure that better assesses emotion dysregulation by using language that reflects a Coptic conceptualization of the phenomenon.
