A NOVEL Task for Measuring Negative Emotion Bias By Subsequent Disruptions in Cognitive Control

A novel task was developed (E-LERT) that incorporated features from well-studied tasks directed at disruptions of attention (Dot-Probe Task), executive (Attention Network Task) and cognitive control (Flankers Task). Findings show that there is emotional interference but only when the task is more cognitively taxing.
