Abstract
We investigated gender differences in the content, frequency, and promotability of extra-role tasks. Full-time worker participants (N = 311) reported extra-role tasks men and women typically do, which were coded into distinct categories and analyzed for frequency and promotability by gender. Findings highlight gender differences in task distribution and promotability.
