Perseverative Negative Thinking and Mindful Nonjudging but Not Perceived Loneliness and Resources Mediate Challenge Appraisal – Stress Relationships across Generational Status and the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Among n=266 (Time1-Spring 2020; FGCS=40%) and n=318 (Time2-Fall 2020; FGCS=40%) undergraduates in the U.S. during the COVID-19 Pandemic, perseverative negative thinking and mindful nonjudging mediated challenge appraisal – stress relationships but loneliness and resources did not, in both first and continuing generation college students and in Spring and Fall 2020.
