Associations of Reflective Function and Caregiving Behavior in Community Careworkers in South Africa: The Impact of the Mediational Intervention for Sensitizing Caregivers

This study examines a caregiving program with community careworkers who work with vulnerable, HIV-affected children in South Africa. We evaluated change in caregiver reflective function and examined its association with changes in caregiving behavior using an observational coding scheme. Cultural considerations of reflective function and caregiving are discussed.
