Abstract
Adverse childhood experiences impact individuals' self-perception, safety, and attachments in adult intimate relationships. Little is known about how male survivors manage boundaries between self and others, attachment, and emotion regulation. Terror Management Theory suggests intimate relationships aid in navigating safety concerns and promoting secure attachments, benefiting males with past traumas.
