Social Norms Messaging and Communication Training Enhance Vaccination Recommendations Among Physicians

We explore the effects of social norms-based messaging and presumptive (opt-out) communication training on vaccination recommendation behavior among healthcare providers in two cross-cultural (USA and Brazil) RCTs. The results show that presumptive communication training can decrease the utilization of open-ended vs presumptive recommendation usage between baseline and 90-day follow-up.
