Taming the AI Dragon: Rethinking the Teaching of Psychology Post-Chatgpt

Abstract

Chatbots undermine traditional assessments (tests and essays). Rather than engaging students in a tech arms race between AI-detectors and AI-content generators, professors must create authentic assessments, training students to work with AI as tools that enhance productivity, creativity, and critical thinking. Specific examples will be given from my courses.
