Abstract
Research gains were evaluated in 64 undergraduates who participated in a semester-long, NSF-supported neuroscience and psychology mentorship program. Findings revealed significant increases in research gains over time (p<.001) for both first-gen (n=30) and non-first-gen students (n=34), emphasizing the program’s positive impact on undergraduates' STEM education despite no observed generational effect.
