Abstract
We developed a novel measure to examine how students perceptually organize significant versus non-significant effects in 2x2 graphs. Participants were 58 college-aged Introductory Psychology students. Students performed significantly better on line graphs than on bar graphs (p<0.001). The findings suggest a benefit in using line graphs when introducing factorial statistics.
