Playing Games Improves Student Skills and Knowledge in History and Systems Course

This presentation describes an immersive active learning pedagogy in a History and Systems course. Students play the roles of prominent psychiatrists and psychologists who served as committee members tasked with the responsibility of determining how to define and treat mental illness. Students reported increased knowledge and improved professionalism.
