When Learning Is Uncomfortable: Students' Experiences with Empirically-Based, DEI-Related Discussions in the Introduction to Psychology Classroom

Abstract
Undergraduate students taking Introduction to Psychology can acknowledge the learning potential for having empirically-based, DEI-related discussions in the classroom. However, more experience with these discussions actually decreased students' reported comfort in having said discussions, suggesting that student learning, not comfort, may be an important goal for this kind of exercise.
