Why Students Hate Group Projects: Understanding the Psychological Barriers to Collaborative Learning

The present study aims to examine student attitudes about group work across semester-long group projects in two undergraduate courses in psychology methods and statistics. Using quantitative and qualitative approaches, we aimed to identify psychological barriers to benefiting from and enjoying group work.
