A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of the Association between Five Factor Model (FFM) Personality Traits and Cognitive Abilities across the Lifespan

This preregistered systematic review and meta-analysis sought to synthesize studies associating personality traits with cognitive functioning across general and specific domains and evaluate the contribution of age to their relationship. The findings broaden the association between personality and cognition and underscore the role of development and aging in their relationship.
