How Motivated and Avoidance-Based Is the Reduction of Positivity in Depressed Persons?

Sunday, May 29, 2022 · Chicago, IL

Oral · Clinical Science

When examining implicit appraisals, approach/avoidant behaviors, and desire intolerance, investigating the processing of positive emotions is crucial. This symposium presents three talks and a discussion covering studies exploring these phenomena. It thus attempts to answer the question: how motivated and avoidance-based is the reduction of positivity in depressed persons?
