Supporting the Next Generation: Understanding the Intersection of Racism and Policing, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Outcomes, Police Officer Perceptions of Working with Diverse Populations, and a Path to Reform
This symposium will review the implications of minority children and adolescent direct or indirect exposure to police-involved violence and/or deaths on their mental health outcomes, as well as police officers' perceptions of their training, and willingness to collaborate with psychologists and mental health professionals while policing minority individuals and communities.
