The Transdiagnostic Role of Compromised Learning in Psychopathology and Ill Health

Saturday, May 28, 2022 · Chicago, IL

Oral · Clinical Science

Learning to predict danger is adaptive as it enables us to avoid future harm. Compromised learning (i.e. impaired safety and extinction learning, overgeneralization) has been advanced as a transdiagnostic marker of pathology. This symposium brings together novel insights on compromised learning in trauma/anxiety- and disgust-related disorders, as well as pain.
