Finding Ourselves: Prioritizing Identity Development and Dysfunction in Clinical Research and Practice

Identity development and identity distress are central to the development of psychopathology but have been overlooked in clinical research and treatment. We will highlight empirical evidence for identity as a transdiagnostic treatment target, address barriers to applied research, and share a novel group intervention that targets identity in clinical practice.
