Advances in Estimating and Accounting for Measurement Error

Friday, May 27, 2022 · Chicago, IL

Oral · Methodology

Measurement error pervades human-subjects research involving latent psychological constructs. Methods to quantify/correct for measurement error’s attenuating effects date to early 20th-century classical test theory, whereas modern latent-variable models explicitly account for measurement error. This symposium highlights recent developments that surpass textbook cases of quantifying and accounting for measurement error.
