An Experimental Analysis of Lecture and Active Learning: How Dosage Amount and Dosage Schedule Affect Student Learning
This study examined the effects of dosage amount and schedule of lecture (L) and active learning (AL). In E1, the 100%AL condition resulted in lower student performance than the 100%L condition. In E2, the 50%L/50%AL (interspersed) condition resulted in higher student performance than the 100%L and the 50%L/50%AL (blocked) conditions.
