Emerging Evidence for Neurocognitive Mechanisms of Emotion-Related Impulsivity

Saturday, May 28, 2022 · Chicago, IL

Oral · Clinical Science

Emotion-related impulsivity is increasingly recognized as influencing varied psychiatric syndromes. This construct has accordingly received considerable empirical attention, thereby advancing knowledge of its neurocognitive underpinnings. This symposium will review contemporary basic research on emotion-related impulsivity, highlighting implications for developing a translational, mechanistic framework of this trait’s transdiagnostic role in psychopathology.
