Confounded and Counter-Intuitive Emotion Stereotypes in Person Perception

Research at the intersection of person perception and emotion has focused on dominant and reliable emotion stereotypes associated with specific social groups. This symposium will discuss recent research that has found that such emotion stereotypes are either phenotypically confounded or phenotypically incompatible with prevailing emotion stereotypes in person perception.
