Perspectives on the Promotion of Moral Character

There has been an increased interest across the psychological disciplines in how to effectively promote positive moral character. In this symposium, we address this question from several different perspectives showcasing recent research examining the roles of motivation, exemplars, meditation, and volitional personality change in the promotion of moral character.
