The Multifaceted Consequences of Curiosity in Social and Cognitive Domains
Curiosity drives much human behavior. This symposium integrates developmental, cognitive, social, and computational approaches to investigate the social (Paper 1) and cognitive (Papers 2-4) consequences of curiosity among toddlers, elementary-schoolers, and adults. Taken together, results show that curiosity elicits positive moral evaluations and increases learning.
