School Climate Predictors of Grade Point Average in Absent Youth

Abstract
School climate predictors of grade point average (GPA) can address absenteeism. A multiple regression analysis indicated that two dimensions of school climate, academic mindset and physical safety significantly predicted grade point average (Adjusted R² = 15.5%, F(2,291) = 27.974, p < .0001). Our results can inform models targeting absenteeism.
