Test of a Multi-Stage Model of Distal and Proximal Antecedents of Leader Emergence

This study investigated the relationships among personality traits, motivation to lead, transformational leadership, and leader emergence of STEM and entrepreneurship students using hierarchical regression and relative weights analysis. Results confirmed affective-identity MTL’s mediational role between extraversion and TFL and leader emergence and revealed that one’s language impacts their leader emergence.
