Self-Blame and Threat Appraisal As Predictors of Cardiovascular Reactivity Among Sexual Trauma Survivors
Among sexual trauma survivors, self-blame is positively associated with, posttraumatic stress is negatively associated with, and perceived threat of writing about sexual trauma is positively associated with heart rate and blood pressure changes during a trauma cue, during which survivors are asked to write about an experience of sexual trauma.
