Valuing Health Versus Money: Delay Discounting of Health and Money in Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes

Adolescents with type 1 diabetes completed a delay discounting task to assess the relative value of good health and monetary rewards. Participants chose between a small reward (health or money) now, and a larger reward later. Youth with diabetes showed a relative preference for good health over monetary rewards.
