The Influence of Exposure Time on Parainformative Concept Learning

Virtual

Oral · Cognitive Psychology

We investigated the role of stimulus exposure time in human concept formation. We presented participants full categories to learn for variable exposure durations. Initial results suggest classical category learning findings break down as exposure time diminishes. Additionally, models underlying Generalized Invariance Structure Theory (Vigo, 2013) provide strong fits to data.
