Kick It with Me: The Role of Social Bonding Behavior in Relationship Initiation

Virtual

Oral · Social Psychology

Using a novel relationship initiation paradigm, we demonstrate that affectionate touch, shared laughter, and expressed gratitude serve as cues for affiliation in initial interactions (N = 591 interactions).
