Authentic Leader(ship) Development and Psychological Well-Being: An Outcome-Wide Analysis

Virtual

Oral · Industrial/Organizational Psychology

We find that leaders who engage in adaptive self-reflection to develop authenticity experience positive changes in self-concept clarity, sense of purpose in life, and personal growth, and a decrease in perceived stress. Benefits were reduced for those with higher baseline self-concept clarity (i.e., individuals with higher incomes and conscientiousness).
