State and Trait Emotion Dysregulation: An EMA Study of How Urgency and Distress Intolerance Relate to Daily Emotion Regulation Strategy Use

Virtual

Oral · Clinical Science

We examined how trait-like difficulties with emotion regulation, urgency, and distress intolerance were related to daily emotion regulation (ER) strategy use, and how high arousal levels shifted ER. Greater urgency was related to more disengagement ER use overall, but fewer attempts to disengage in the context of arousal.
