Bystander Intervention in Response to Cyberbullying on Twitter Among Female College Students

When exposed to cyberbullying on Twitter, 36.1% of female participants defended the victim, while 8.5% joined the bully. Defending was significantly more likely when the cyberbully was an out-group member and the victim an in-group member, while joining the bully was significantly more likely when the roles were reversed.
