Sleep and Interrogation: Impacts on Subjects and Collectors

Virtual

Oral · Social Psychology

Despite historical use of sleep deprivation, there is little direct evidence on how it impacts interview subjects or efficacy of interrogators. A program of research examining the impact of sleep loss reveals it can inhibit criminal history disclosure among interview subjects, while also undermining the efficacy of professional investigative interviewers.
